Get my business on Google for free!

The first step to getting your business found online for free, is to set up a Google account.
This enables you to build your own Google My Business page. This is referenced by Google for local searches for your business type in your local area. For example “carpenter in Cottesloe”.

To set up on your computer (my advice) and/or phone go to gmail setup page

You will need to enter your details and choose to get a new “@gmail.com” email account or you can use your own email to register.
Add your number to the verify your phone number page and use the “G- code” sent as a message to your phone to confirm account.
Once you have this set up you will have an icon displayed in the top right corner of your Google home page and you now have access to these applications (see right).

From here you can set up Google+, Drive and Google my business etc. If you have some basic editing skills, can resize/upload images and a bit of time you can do this yourself.
